What is Tachometer ?
Tachometers are basically used to measure the rotation speed of shafts or discs in motor or any other machine. The word is derived from the Greek word Tachos which means speed and metron, means to measure. It is laid on a dial and the needle, the needle indicates the reading. This device usually displays the revolutions per minute on calibrated analogue dials but digital displays are in trend now.
